In a playoff style game, the Moncton Wildcats boosted their winning streak to 11 games downing the Victoriaville Tigres 2-1 Thursday night in from of 5072 home fans.
The first period was scoreless. The teams exchanged goals in the middle frame, the Cats scoring at 6:43 and the Tigres at 7:32. Scott Brannon scored for the Cats, Joel Chouinard for Victo. The game winner came at 6:11 of the third, a power play goal by Mark Barberio.
The shots on goal were even at 28 apiece. On the power-play, the Cats were 1 for 4, the Tigres 0 for 4.
The Wildcats meet the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Friday night at 7 at the Coliseum.
