Published on January 27, 2010 under American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-In the tradition of former players such as James Sanford and Bubba Berenzweig, the Milwaukee Admirals are proud to announce their "Salute to Number Two," on Twosday, February 2, when the team hosts the Texas Stars at 7:02 pm at the Bradley Center.
All fans in attendance at the game will take home an Admirals number 2 pencil, and (with apologies to current Admirals defenseman Teemu Laakso) the state's most famous number 2, Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, will be at the game to sign autographs and greet fans on the 200-level concourse from 6:00 until 7:00 pm.
In addition, the Admirals will also have trivia contests and promotional activities centered on the number two. As a primer, here are some interesting facts about the number 2:
Two is the first even number.
Two is the first prime number.
Two is the third Fibonacci number.
Two is the only number x such that the sum of the reciprocals of the powers of x equals itself.
With titillating trivia like that, it is clear that much fan and frivolity will ensue.
In order to pay tribute to number 2, Admirals fans can order tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of (wait for it...) $2 off of each 200-level ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
