Fargo Force News Release
Many wishes come true throughout the holiday season. 17-year-old Jeff Nelson's, of Argusville, wish will come true at the Fargo Force game on Dec. 9.
Jeff copes with a form of bone cancer. When wish granting volunteers met with him, he didn't think twice about what he wanted. He wished to have his 1989 Nissan 300ZX restored.
Be there on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Fargo Force game when Jeff's car will be revealed on the ice, in front of his family and friends, during the 2nd intermission of the game.
December 9 is also Make-A-Wish night at the UP Center. The Force will donate $1 for every ticket sold, children 12 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Birkholz concentrating on getting chances, scores twice
"We have been struggling to score goals the past couple weekends," freshman winger Josh Birkholz said after scoring his first and second goals of the season on Saturday in Minnesota's 6-2 victory over Minnesota State Mankato.
The Gophers had scored nine goals in their previous six games. That's the reason they were 1-5-0 in that stretch. So Josh, explain this. You need 16 games to get your first goal as a Gopher and then get your second 7-1/2 minutes later? Why did that second one come so quick? Click here to read more
Searfoss scores game winner, Force winning streak extends to 6 games!
The Fargo Force extended their winning streak in a wild game at the Urban Plains Center in Fargo on Saturday night. The Force used a high powered offense on a rare night where the defense was suspect to nip the Sioux City Musketeers, 6-5. Ryan Massa made 28 saves and Johnnie Searfoss scored the game-winning goal in the final two minutes for the Force.
After a scoreless first period, things got absolutely wild in the middle frame. A total of seven goals were scored, four by Sioux City and three by Fargo. Nate Condon kicked off the scoring for the home town team 5:35 into the second period. Nick Oliver and Searfoss gathered in assists on the goal.
