
Conor Allen Commits To Massachusetts

Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
Sioux Falls, SD---The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today that defenseman Conor Allen has committed to the University of Massachusetts for the 2010-11 season. Allen becomes the 13th Stampede player to commit to a Division I program this season. He was a second round selection of the Herd during the 2008 USHL draft.
The Chicago, IL native is in his first season with the Stampede. He has tallied two assists and is a plus-6 in 18 games with the Herd. Last season, Allen played for the St. Louis Bandits of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he recorded 20 points (6g, 14a) in 58 games.
The University of Massachusetts is located in Amherst, MA and are members of the Hockey East Conference. The Minutemen are 9-5-0 on the season and were ranked #9 in the country last week.
The Stampede return to action this Wednesday when they travel to Fargo to face the Force at the Urban Plains Center. The Stampede will return home this Friday to host Cedar Rapids at the Sioux Falls Arena. Game time is 7:05 PM.
