
Sadowski to face Rawhide in rehab assignment

VISALIA- San Francisco Giants rookie Ryan Sadowski will be making a rehab assignment for the San Jose Giants this coming Monday when they take on the Visalia Rawhide in the finale of their 4-game series. Sadowski has a Major League record of 2-1 over 18 innings pitched while allowing just 2 earned runs.
Sadowski returns to the San Jose roster for the first time since playing a full season for the A-level squad back in 2005 when he went 9-6 with an ERA of 4.64. A graduate of Florida University, Sadowski spent 4 years in the minors before getting the call to the big club this season and is slated to get a full start under his belt after the 7:05 first pitch.
The Rawhide are 1-1 when facing Major Leaguers on rehab assignment so far this season. Visalia lost when Major Leaguer Sergio Romo made an appearance in the first inning for San Jose back on May 14th by a final score of 8-4. On May 19th the Rawhide faced southpaw Greg Smith who threw 5.1 innings while allowing 3 earned runs off of 7 hits. Visalia won the game in extra innings by a score of 5-4.
Pat McAnaney will be Visalia's starting pitcher for Monday's game.
