
Quakes Blasted by Storm 10-4

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release
Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Lake Elsinore jumped out early on the Quakes in game three of the four game series at the Epicenter. After Danny Payne doubled with one out, Sawyer Carroll walked and James Darnell singled to load the bases. Matt Clark then came up and grounded out to first to score Payne and give Lake Elsinore a 1-0 lead against Jeremy Thorne and the Quakes.
Rancho battled back in the bottom of the 1st scoring twice. After Clay Fuller and Andrew Romine worked walks and stole second and third, Jay Brossman collected an RBI sac-fly and Efren Navarro delivered an RBI single to give the Quakes a 2-1 lead.
The lead did not last long though as the Storm came back with two runs in the 2nd on an RBI ground out by Logan Gelbrich and a two-out RBI single by Danny Payne to make the score 3-2.
Lake Elsinore got a solo home run from James Darnell in the 3rd and a solo homer from Andy Parrino in the 4th to take a 5-2 lead.
With Thorne still in the game in the 6th, Matt Clark led off with a walk and Felix Carrasco hit a two-run home run to give the Storm a 7-2 advantage.
Jeremy Haynes entered the game in the 7th for the Quakes and allowed the lead off batter Brad Chalk to reach on a two-base error. After a line out, Sawyer Carroll produced an RBI single to make the score 8-2. A walk, two wild pitches and a strikeout later, the Storm had runners on second and third, and Felix Carrasco singled up the middle to score both runners and make the score 10-2.
Clay Fuller came to the plate with two outs and a runner at first in the 7th and blasted a two-run home run to bring the Quakes within six, 10-4.
The Quakes will finish their seven homestand with Lake Elsinore Monday. Left hander Alexander Torres will start for the Quakes against right hander Aaron Breit. Game time is scheduled for 1:05pm and will be tape delayed on the radio and internet until 7pm.
