ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a three-game losing streak as they open up a three-game series against the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) at Jerry Uht Park. Erie is coming off of a rough road trip to Bowie that saw the club drop four of five games including yesterday by a score of 3-1. The Howlers went just 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position in the loss. The current three-game losing skid is tied for the longest of the season for the ‘Wolves. Erie has dropped three straight on two other occasions. The club has not lost four straight this season. Despite the losing road trip, Erie remains in second place in the Southern Division, 5.5 games behind first place Akron and two games ahead of third place Reading...The Senators picked up a win on Sunday in Reading and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. Harrisburg sits in last place in the South with the league's fewest wins. Erie is 4-0 against the Sens at Jerry Uht Park and have won five of the seven meetings this season...Lefty Duane Below makes his Double-A debut tonight for the ‘Wolves. Below, the Tigers 19th round selection of the 2006 June draft, began the season with Lakeland. He made six starts for the Flying Tigers and was 1-4 with a 3.14 ERA. Below lost his last three starts with Lakeland. In his most recent start against Brevard County on May 8, he tossed 5.1 innings, allowing a season-high four runs on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts...Righty Adrain Alaniz takes the mound for the Senators making his fifth start of the season and second against Erie. He has lost his last two decisions against Akron and Altoona. He took a no-decision in his only start against Erie on April 26.
