Saints Fans Can Once Again Follow the Team on TV, Radio and Internet in 2009

ST. PAUL, MN (April 27, 2009) - One of the most recognizable minor league baseball teams in the country will once again have extraordinary TV and radio coverage for the 2009 baseball season. The St. Paul Saints will televise all regular season and playoff home games on television, and all 96 regular season games may be heard on Relevant Radio 1330.

The Saints are one of the only minor league teams in the country that have all their home games broadcast on television. All eight Saturday home games may be seen on KSTC-TV, Channel 45, reaching 1.6 million homes while serving as the only independent station in the Twin Cities. The station carries many local sports including the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Vikings.

Ron Johnson will handle the play-by-play duties on all eight Channel 45 broadcasts and will handle field level reporting duties during Friday and Sunday games. Joining him in the booth will be former Red Sox pitcher Dana Kiecker, entering his 17th season as color commentator for the Saints.

This is Johnson's second consecutive season with the Saints broadcast crew. The Chaska native also worked as the Saints field level reporter during the 1999 and 2000 seasons before heading to television stations in Johnstown, PA and Mobile, AL. In 2005, Johnson came back to Minnesota, covering the Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, Vikings, and Gophers. Most recently he has done sideline reporting for the Big Ten Network and ESPN. Ron graduated from St. Cloud State University and lives in St. Paul.

Joining the broadcast team this season is Darren Wolfson, formerly of KFAN. Wolfson will handle the sideline reporting duties on all Monday-Thursday games along with the Saturday, Channel 45 broadcasts. Wolfson produced the Chat Hartman Show on KFAN from 1996-2009 and is a fill-in anchor on KMSP TV Channel 9. He received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota in 2002.

All remaining home games can be seen on the Saints Cable Network, a combination of cable access channels in the Twin Cities Metro Area that combined reaches up to two million homes (check saintsabseball.com for the channel in your area).

The voice of the Saints, Sean Aronson is back for his third season behind the mic and will call all the action on the Saints Cable Network. Along with his TV duties, Aronson will provide play-by-play for all 96 games on Relevant Radio 1330. Relevant Radio owns and operates 16 stations and 23 affiliates across the country and offers thought provoking dialogue, commentary and listener call-in shows 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
