Sioux City Explorers News Release
SIOUX CITY, IA - After winning the 2nd Half North Division Championship in 2008, the Sioux City Explorers look to pick up where they left off in 2009 when training camp opens on May 2nd. In preparation for the X's 96 game regular season schedule, the team will play a total of four exhibition games.
The X's will start the exhibition season off with a 7:00 pm game on May 4th in Yankton, SD against Mount Marty College. The X's will then travel to the Lone Star State to play the Grand Prairie Airhogs on the 10th, Fort Worth Cats on the 11th and Airhogs again on the 12th of May. The following day the X's travel to El Paso Texas for practice at Cohen Stadium on the 13th before opening the 2009 season in El Paso, TX on the May 14th.

Thursday, May 7th Practice at 10:00 Am/Intra-squad game to follow
Friday, May 8th Practice at 7:05 PM/Intra-squad game to follow under the lights.
Saturday, May 9th Practice at 2:00 PM. Depart for Grand Prairie, TX at 8:00 PM
Sunday, May 10th Exhibition Game: Sioux City vs. Grand Prairie Airhogs at Grand Prairie, TX 6:05 pm
Monday, May 11th Exhibition Game: Sioux City vs. Fort Worth Cats at Fort Worth, TX (Texas Star Field) @ 7:05 pm
Tuesday, May 12th Exhibition Game: Sioux City vs. Grand Prairie at Grand Prairie, TX @ 7:05 pm
Wednesday, May 13th Practice in El Paso, TX @ 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 14th Season Opener: Sioux City at El Paso; 7:05 pm
Saturday, May 22nd Home Opener: Wichita at Sioux City; 7:05 pm
