
Hot Rods Name Director of Ticket Sales

(Bowling Green, KY) ¨C The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Single©A affiliate of the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, have named a Director of Ticket Sales. Alan Bowman, 30, will oversee all aspects of the Hot Rods ticket operation, with a focus on season tickets, group and family outings, and business suites.
¡°The hiring of Alan is a big step for our organization,¡± said General Manager and CEO, Brad Taylor. ¡°He brings years of success at the highest level in the sports industry. We are thrilled to have Alan join the Hot Rods staff.¡±
Bowman comes to Bowling Green after working in Major League Baseball with the Arizona Diamondbacks. While in Phoenix, Bowman worked to promote awareness of Diamondbacks ticket packages, devoting most of his energy to luxury suites and enhancing the overall fan experience. ¡°This is a great opportunity, working with the Hot Rods as we build an image and a stadium,¡± Bowman said. ¡°Being a part of something new like this is inspiring. I¡¯m honored to join a staff that is creating something new and exciting for this community, and I can¡¯t wait for Opening Night, April 17th.¡±
Prior to working with the Diamondbacks, Bowman spent time with Live Nation, a company that produces concerts around the world. He also worked on sponsorship and client branding with the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association. His first foray into professional baseball came with the Hagerstown Suns, a current Hot Rods opponent in the South Atlantic League.
Opening Night in the Hot Rods brand©new ballpark is April 17th, 2009, against the Kannapolis Intimidators (Chicago White Sox).
