RiverDogs' Ticket Packages Blend Old, New Ideas

February 10, 2009 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Charleston RiverDogs News Release

CHARLESTON - As times change, so do certain things. But the simplest things, which are often the greatest, don't change much at all. They blend what got them to a point in time with that inevitable change.

Bruce Springsteen's performance at halftime of Super Bowl XLIII was a convergence of the times. The use of several classic rock staples along with a special look into what fans can expect from his new album, "Working on a Dream," brought his impact full-circle.

Television's switch from analog to digital marks a changing of the guard, but it doesn't change the fact that TV is still TV.

Fans of the Charleston RiverDogs can expect that same kind of adaptability in terms of the team's ticket packages. Whether you are a die-hard baseball fanatic, a casual onlooker or you simply love beautiful weather, the RiverDogs have you covered from head-to-toe.

"It's an ongoing challenge to present our fans with something new each season, but also keep them secure with what we have offered in the past," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. "The idea is to make sure that our fans enjoy a quality product."

In addition to the Stay'Cation package that was recently announced, highlighting the new slate for the 2009 season is the Homewrecker Hot Dog Pack. This 10-game flex pack (which excludes Opening Day on April 9 and Fan Appreciation Day on September 7) not only offers fans the choice of two areas of seating, but also includes a Homewrecker Hot Dog Trucker cap and a voucher for a Homewrecker Hot Dog for each game.

A Homewrecker is a half-pound of hot dog with a choice of multiple toppings that range from sauerkraut and okra to hot peppers and cole slaw.

Plans for lower reserve seating are $90, while upper reserve seating costs $80.

While those two items provide fans even more options, the stalwart mini plans are still available, starting with a 24-game Weekend Pack for $288, which includes tickets to every Friday and Saturday game as well as Opening Day on April 9 and Fan Appreciation Day on September 7. Upon purchase, fans will receive $24 doggie dollars per seat to help sweeten the pot.

The 11-game Fireworks Pack, which costs $88 for lower reserve seats and $77 for upper reserve seats, offers tickets to every Friday home game (which includes the annual Independence Day Celebration on July 3) and Fan Appreciation Day, when the night's festivities are punctuated by a mesmerizing post-game fireworks display.

In case that's not enough, fans can also exercise even more flexibility with a Flex Pack. Fans have the ability purchase undated vouchers or select the games which they would like to attend, for a minimum of five vouchers, and create their own ticket plan.

RiverDogs season tickets still attract fans with no long lines at the ticket window, no waiting at concession stands because of the personal wait staff, and the ticket exchange program where any unused season ticket can be exchanged at the box office for a general admission ticket. However, much like the mini plans, a few wrinkles have been added to the starched and ironed shirt.

Current season ticket holders can now e-mail their season tickets to other fans. They can also sell them on-line to other fans through the team's GHub program at www.riverdogs.com. The team is offering new flexible payment options to conform to each fan's individual needs.

For more information on any of these plans, contact the RiverDogs at (843) 577-DOGS (3647).
