New York Red Bulls News Release
SECAUCUS, NJ (January 9, 2009) - Red Bulls midfielder Seth Stammer will host the 2nd Annual Sporting Chance Foundation Fundraiser on January 16 at the Spice Bar and Restaurant in Columbus, OH.
Stammler, a native of Gahanna, OH, founded the Sporting Chance Foundation (SCF) in 2007 after a six-day service trip to Haiti in 2006 with teammates Jozy Altidore and Jerrod Laventure, and Grammy Award winning musician Wyclef Jean and his charitable organization, Yele Haiti.
The goal of SCF is to provide clean water wells and educational programs to Haitians. Money raised from the event will go to fund and enhance Sporting Chance Foundation's two primary initiatives: providing educational scholarships and building community water wells in Haiti!
Tickets to the event, which will also include a charity auction, are $40.00 at the door
The Sporting Chance Foundation is a 501c(3) charitable organization. To learn more, log onto www.sportingchancefoundation.org.
