Former Bomber Dupuis Makes NHL Debut

Dayton, OH- Former Dayton Bombers center Philippe Dupuis made his National Hockey League debut on Friday, December 12 with the Colorado Avalanche.

Dupuis, who played with the Bombers in 2006-07, was an integral part of the team's run to the 2007 Kelly Cup Finals, picking up 15 points (6g,9a) in 19 post-season games. He also had three goals and two assists in eight regular season games for Dayton.

Dupuis joins Tyler Sloan as the second Dayton Bomber to make his NHL debut this season. Sloan, who played in Dayton in 2 002-03 and 2004-05, has appeared in 20 games for the Washington Capitals this season, picking up four points.

Since 1991, 24 former Dayton Bombers players have graduated to the NHL. The ECHL has seen a total of 382 players move up to the NHL over the past 20 seasons.
