
ECHL, Activation Sports Marketing Announce Partnership

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Activation Sports Marketing, LLC
of Bala Cynwyd, Pa. will represent the league for national sponsorship
sales.
"Having known Karen Crane, Denise Duffin and BJ Zellers for years, it made
perfect sense to join forces," said ECHL Vice President of Marketing and
Business Development Richard Lisk. "Activation Sports and the ECHL have the
same business philosophies making this a great partnership."
ASM develops strategic alliances with brands, capitalizing on the power of
sports as a vital marketing platform.
"We are extremely pleased to be afforded the opportunity to work with this
competitive sports property that also delivers family entertainment," said
Karen Crane, a Managing Partner at ASM.
The Premier 'AA' Hockey League, the ECHL has 22 teams playing in 16 states and British Columbia and serves as the primary development league for the American Hockey League and the National Hockey League. The ECHL celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2007-08 and is the third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the NHL and the AHL. There have been 382 players who have gone on to play in the NHL after the ECHL including 27 in 2008-09 and 126 since 2005-06.
