Blues Assign Steve Regier Back to Peoria

St. Louis, Mo. (December 4, 2008) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned forward Steve Regier to the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Regier, 24, made his Blues debut on Nov. 16 vs. Montreal, recording two goals, his first in the National Hockey League. He has played in a total of eight games this season with the Blues, registering four points (three goals, one assist) and four penalty minutes. The 6-5, 200-pound forward has skated in 15 games for the Rivermen this season, collecting 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) along with 12 penalty minutes.

The Spruce Grove, Alberta native was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the fifth round, 148th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.
