CALGARY, AB - Calgary Roughnecks President and General Manager Brad Banister announced today that the club has acquired defenceman Mike Kilby in a three-way trade with the Colorado Mammoth and Boston Blazers.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed and are subject to league approval.
The Boston Blazers originally traded Kilby to the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for their fourth round selection in the 2009 Entry Draft. The Mammoth then went on to immediately trade the 27-year-old as well as Colorado's third round selection in the 2009 Entry Draft to the Roughnecks in exchange for Calgary's second round selection in the 2010 Entry Draft.
Kilby, a native of Burnaby, BC, enters his third season in the National Lacrosse League, having played his first two seasons with the Portland Lumberjax and the Minnesota Swarm.
In 2008, Kilby tallied two assists, 14 penalty minutes, while collecting 27 loose balls in 16 games for the Lumberjax.
The six-foot-one, 200-pounder has suited up for 32 career games, recording 10 points, including two goals and eight assists. He also racked up 70 penalty minutes and collected 64 loose balls in that time.
