HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has released 19 players from training camp. The Aeros opening day roster will be released on Wednesday. The following players have been released from the Aeros' roster: D Aaron Brocklehurst, G Kellen Briggs, RW Ryan Cruthers, D Michael Couch, C Jason Deitsch, F Riley Emmerson, D James Jernberg, C Ryan Lang, D Jeremy Leroux, F Marty Mjelleli, D Pat Oliveto, LW Adam Powell, C Darryl Smith, F Josh Soares, D Zach Tarkir, F Jason Tejchma, G Dustin Traylen, F Chase Trull and D Vincent Zaore.
The Aeros open up their 15th Anniversary Season this Saturday against the Chicago Wolves at Toyota Center at 7:35 p.m. They will also play on Monday, October 13th on Houston Aeros Hero Night against the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:05 p.m. For tickets call (713) 974-PUCK or visit AEROS.com.
