Brett Sonne scored once and added two assists as the Hitmen beat the Blazers 6-2 in Calgary on Saturday night.
Calgary built a 2-0 first period lead before Jimmy Bubnick counted his 7th of the season in the second period. Kenton Dulle brought the Blazers back to within one a second time - with a shorthanded goal - but Calgary was able to re-establish a 2-goal lead just 30 seconds later. The Hitmen added two more in the third period to put it away. Shots were 40-19 Hitmen with Michael Snider getting the win and Justin Leclerc taking the loss.
The Blazers were 0-for-5 on the PP and 2-for-4 on the PK.
