Canucks Send Trio To Manitoba

Manitoba Moose News Release


The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have reduced their training camp roster by three players and re-assigned them to Manitoba. As a result, the Canucks now have 34 players remaining in camp.

The following players were re-assigned to the Moose:

Mark Cullen Centre

Jason Jaffray Left Wing

Jimmy Sharrow Defence

Cullen, 29, played 59 games last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, recording 47 points (16-31-47) and 61 penalty minutes with the Griffins. In 358 career AHL games, the Virginia, MN native has scored 286 points (103-183-286).

Jaffray, 27, played in 43 games in his fourth season with the Moose in 2007-08. He scored 48 points (21-27-48). In 207 career games with the Moose, the Olds, AB native has collected 184 points (72-112-184) while he's scored six points (2-4-6) in 19 games last season with Vancouver - his first in the NHL.

Sharrow, 23, played in 44 games in his first season with Manitoba where he collected 22 points (5-17-22). In two Calder Cup playoff games, the Framingham, MA native collected an assist. He has 59 points (11-48-59) in 133 career AHL games with the Moose and Chicago Wolves.
