Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats take their first road trip this week across the bridge to face the PEI Rocket Saturday night. They return to the Cage Sunday to challenge the Val-d'Or Foreurs at 4 p.m. The Wildcats are 1-0 against the Rocket and are yet to face the Foreurs. Ted Stephens, Scott Brannon and Sasha Famin lead the Wildcats in scoring with 5, 4 and 3 points respectively so far this year.

GAME NOTES:
The Moncton Wildcats took their theme for the season, "Ready to Go Wild" to heart on Friday as they whipped the visiting PEI Rocket 8-2.
Just past the halfway mark of the first period, the 'Cats began the scoring parade with Scott Brannon scoring his first of two at 10:06. Brannon's second came at 11:46, then Ted Stevens lit the red light with his first at 12:25, then scored again at 17:15.
The Rocket beat Wildcats netminder Nicola Riopel at the 55 second mark of the middle frame, then narrowed the margin to just two goals at 2:42, Ben Duffy got both PEI goals. Moncton struck back with four in a row starting a 7:49 when import Sasha Famin got his first Q goal. Devon MacAusland upped the 'Cats margin to four at 10:10; Matt Brown scored at 12:32 and ten seconds later, Stevens put the finishing touches on his hat-trick.
Rockets starting goalie Bobby Nadeau was replaced by Evan Mosher at the 10:10 mark of the second. Shots on goal favored the Wildcats 42-26. The Rocket were 0-6 on the powerplay while Moncton went 0 for 3.
The game's three stars were Duffy of the Rocket getting the third star, Cats captain Matt Eagles was selected star number two and Ted Stevens was star number one.
Saturday September 13th vs Saint John Moncton Coliseum 7:00PM
GAME NOTES
A pair of goals late in the second and third period gave the Moncton Wildcats their second win in as many nights when they defeated the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-1 Saturday night.
Ted Stevens netted his fourth of the season at 1:58 of the opening period with Sasha Famin getting the helper. The Sea Dogs evened the game at 16:30 on Francois Gauthier's goal at 16:30 on a setup from Michael Kirkpatrick.
Scott Brannon gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead with four second remaining in the second period. Pierre-Marc Lessard and Devon MacAusland assisted.
The final marker of the game came with 7 seconds on the clock; Scott Brannon scored his third of the young season from Matt Eagles. It was Wildcats first power play goal in two games.
Shots on goal were 40 to 33 in favor of Moncton. Power play stats showed the Wildcats going 1 for 6, the Sea Dogs were 0 for 7.
The games three stars were Brandon Gormley of the Cats the third star, goalie Nicola Riopel star number two and Sea Dogs netminder Robert Mayer getting the first star.

The Moncton Wildcats will battle against the PEI Rocket Saturday at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. The Rocket are 6th in the Atlantic Division with 0 points. Ben Duffy leads the Rocket with 2 goals, 0 assists and 2 points in 2 games so far this season.
Sunday September 21st vs Val-d'Or Moncton Coliseum 4:00PM

The Moncton Wildcats will face the Val-d'Or Foreurs. The Foreurs are currently 4th in the Telus Western Division with 1 point. Derek Famulare leads the Foreurs with 1 goal, 0 assists and 1 point in 1 game so far this season.
