FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Tonight, at the kickoff of the New England Revolution's Major League Soccer match against Chivas USA at Gillette Stadium, the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation will launch 11 online auctions to raise funds for the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund. The online auctions will be hosted by cMarket and can be accessed at http://revsjerseys.cmarket.com.

Each of the game-worn jerseys from the 11 Revolution starters from tonight's match will be up for auction. One hundred percent of the proceeds of the auction will go to the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, which was established earlier in 2008 to provide programs and services to families of members of the military fallen in service to the United States.

The 11 jerseys will be emblazoned with a commemorative patch on the left sleeve to recognize the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The patch - which is a reproduction of the patch all Major League Soccer teams wore in 2001 immediately following the national tragedies - is a crest with the Statue of Liberty overlaying the U.S. flag in the background. Each player will also sign the jersey he wore in the match.

The 11 specific Revolution player jerseys up for auction will be listed at cMarket's site as soon as the starting lineup is known later this evening. The auctions will last until 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 and winners will be notified by e-mail.

"There are a lot of emotions attached to the events that occurred in this country on Sept. 11, 2001, and we hope that the community embraces our effort to support the troops and their families who have been affected by the subsequent military operations that resulted from those attacks," Revolution General Manager Craig Tornberg said. "The Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund benefits those troops and their loved ones who have been so courageous in our fight for freedom, and we're pleased to partner in their efforts to support members of our region who sacrificed so much on our behalf."
