TODAY'S MATCHUP

LAST GAME:
Oklahoma rallied for a 5-1 extra inning win at Round Rock on Monday in 11 innings. Jack Cassel and Chad Reineke combined for a perfect game through six before Jason Ellison reached on a seventh inning single. The Express took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the inning without the benefit of a hit. Oklahoma tied the game in the ninth on a solo home run from Casey Benjamin. The RedHawks tagged Jorge Sosa for four run in the 11th, including a bases-loaded double by Nate Gold. Yukinaga Maeda earned the win, hit fourth of the season.
ALL-STAR RETURNS:
Nelson Cruz started in centerfield for the PCL All-Stars in Wednesday's Triple-A All-Star Game at Louisville. Cruz hit cleanup and went 1-3 with a walk and score the tying run in the top of the ninth inning. The PCL trailed 2-0 heading into the ninth, scored six in the inning, and held on for a 6-5 win.
GONE TO FRISCO:
Texas transferred Jared Hyatt and Emerson Frostad back to the Frisco roster earlier this week. Hyatt made two appearances for Oklahoma during his brief seven-day stint, going 1.00 with a 0.96 earned run average, allowing one earned run on four hits over nine and a third innings. Frostad played in two games at Round Rock this past weekend, going 1-7 with a home run in his first Triple-A at bat.
ROSTER ADDITION:
Kevin Richardson was added to the RedHawks roster this week. Richardson has been with Oklahoma all season, but was re-assigned to the Bakersfield roster Monday when Taylor Teagarden was activated from the temporary inactive list.
HELLO AGAIN:
Texas signed free agent catcher Nick Treszniak and added him to the RedHawks roster earlier today. Treszniak was selected in the first round of the 1999 draft by San Diego and played within the organization though 2005. He signed with Texas in 2006 and has combined to play 55 games over the last two seasons, despite being traded to Florida near the end of the 2006 season. Treszniak began this season with Toledo and hit .224 for the Mud Hens with three home runs and 16 runs batted in over 32 games.
TEAGARDEN ON TEAM USA:
Taylor Teagarden was selected to play for Team USA in this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing. The RedHawks catcher participated in last weekend's Futures Game at Yankee Stadium on the U.S. squad for manager Davey Johnson, who will also manage the American team in China.
MEMPHIS AT A GLANCE:
The Redbirds enter play in second place in the American North, five games behind Iowa... Memphis took three of four from Oklahoma in a mid-May series at AutoZone Park... The Redbirds have two players on their roster that will represent the United States in the upcoming Olympic Games. Brian Barden and Colby Rasmus have been selected to participate in Beijing. Team USA will have its first exhibition on August 1 and play its first round matchup against Korea on August 13.
DOT-DOT-DOT:
Elizardo Ramirez will make his 15th start of the season for Oklahoma. Ramirez is 8-2 as a starter with an ERA of 4.66 and has notched nine quality starts... The RedHawks nine game lead is the largest of any division-leading club within Triple-A baseball at the break... Oklahoma was 45-45 at the All-Star break last season... Bobby Jones is taking his Rangers-mandated vacation this weeken
