Salt Lake Bees News Release

SALT LAKE CITY (May 21, 2008) - The Salt Lake Bees will hold Military Appreciation Night at Franklin Covey Field on Friday, May 23 as the Bees take on the Portland Beavers at 6:35 p.m. In honor of Memorial Day, Bees players will wear camouflage jerseys in support of the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

A silent auction will be held on the concourse during the game for the player-worn camouflage jerseys. Winning bidders will have the opportunity to meet the Bees players on the field postgame to take photographs and receive the player autographed jerseys. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust.

The Bees are offering a great ticket incentive for Military Appreciation Night to all military personnel. Show your military ID at the Franklin Covey Field Box Office and receive a 2-for-1 ticket package for the Friday, May 23 Bees game.

Following the game, fans are also invited to stay for the Bees' first fireworks show of the season, sponsored by Prestige Financial.

The 32-12 Salt Lake Bees continue a four-game road stand tonight against the Fresno Grizzlies at 8:05 p.m. For more information about Bees season tickets, which start as low as $7 per game, please call 325-BEES or visit the Bees box office at Franklin Covey Field.
