Arkansas Travelers News Release
Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, AR - The "domino effect" from a transaction from the Los Angeles Angels has affected the Travs roster once again. Former Trav RHP John Lackey was activated from the disabled list and in order to make room for him, the Angels optioned IF Kendry Morales back to Salt Lake. Therefore IF Adam Morrissey has been returned to the Travelers from Salt Lake and rejoins the team today.
Morrissey went to Salt Lake on Sunday and played three games for the Bees. He was 6-for-15 at the plate with a double, two RBI and three runs scored. Morrissey had been on a tear with the Travs before going to triple-A. After signing as a free agent in mid-April, Morrissey had his batting average up to .289 with three homers and 11 RBI.
To make room for Morrissey, the Travs sent IF Larry Infante back to Rancho Cucamonga. He was with the club for two games but did not appear on the field.
