MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The leading scorer for Minnesota Lynx in each of her first two seasons in the WNBA, guard Seimone Augustus will return to the Lynx on Friday, May 9, after finishing her season in the Russian Superleague with Dynamo Moscow.

To make room on the training camp roster, the Lynx waived former University of Southern California center Chloe Kerr. The training camp roster now stands at 17 players overall, with two players, Anna DeForge and Kristen Rasmussen, still out of the country fulfilling their overseas commitments.

Augustus played in 33 games overall for Dynamo Moscow in the 2007-08 season. She averaged 16.8 points on 49.4 percent shooting and 5.0 rebounds per game in 11 EuroLeague outings. She also averaged 15.1 points on 49.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 22 Superleague games.

Augustus also saw action in 22 games for the U.S. Senior National Team, tallying 11.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 55.9 percent from the field. While playing with USA Basketball, Augustus helped lead Team USA to the gold medal at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship last September in Valdivia, Chile, securing a berth for the United States at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

"While I have had a busy offseason away from the Minnesota Lynx, I truly believe that it has helped me prepare for what should be an exciting summer for the Lynx organization," Augustus said. "I cannot wait to re-join my Lynx teammates, and I am especially excited to begin playing with our newest additions - Candice Wiggins, Nicky Anosike and Charde Houston. I hope our fans are just as excited as I am because our 10th Anniversary Season is going to be our most exciting season yet."

A 6-foot-3 native of Bolingbrook, Ill., Kerr closed out her senior season as the Trojans' second leading scorer with an average of 11.9 points per game behind Murphy's 17.9 ppg. Kerr was the Trojans' starting center in all 30 contests in 2006-07, and she finished the season as the team's second leading rebounder (6.5 rpg) and top blocker (1.5 bpg).

The Minnesota Lynx will open their 10th Anniversary Season on May 18, 2008, against the Detroit Shock. The first 5,000 fans will receive a T-shirt courtesy of U.S. Bank. Season and group tickets are on sale now for this historic season. Be a part of the celebration by calling 612-673-8400, e-mailing tickets@lynxbasketball.com or visiting www.lynxbasketball.com.
