
2006 Big Ten Leading Return Man Demond Williams Joins Boise

BOISE, Idaho ¾ The Boise Burn continues to make moves to their roster as they prepare for their home opener this Saturday, Apr. 19 versus the Tri-Cities Fever. Today the arenafootball2 league office announced that former Michigan State DB Demond Williams has been assigned to the Burn.
Williams was a two-year starter for the Spartans in 2005-2006, starting in all 23 games at corner. In two seasons with Michigan State, Williams had 65 tackles (56 solo) and three interceptions, including a 62-yard interception return for a touchdown. Williams was the Spartans' leader in kickoff return yards in his junior and senior seasons, including a Big Ten-best 690 yards his senior year. He finished his career with 1,121 return yards, including a 98-yard score against Indiana as a junior.
Williams is expected to be in uniform for the Burn when they take the field for their 7:00 pm kick off this Saturday at Qwest Arena.
