Florida Firecats Move Up to Third in Week Four Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 377 points to finish third in the Week Four Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today. The Firecats finished moved up a spot from last week on the strength of a 62-47 home-opening win over South Division rival Tennessee Valley last Saturday night.

By securing 437 out of a possible 448 points, the defending ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons maintained the top spot in the poll for a fourth consecutive week. The Talons continued their strong start to the 2008 season with a come-from-behind 64-60 victory last Saturday in Arkansas. The Spokane Shock maintained their number two spot for a third straight week after a 55-51 road victory against division and in-state rival Tri-Cities. Florida, Quad City and Lubbock (which moved up eight spots this week) rounded out the top five.

Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received.
