AFL announces 2007 All-Rookie Team

June 27, 2007 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release


NEW YORK - The Philadelphia Soul led all AFL teams with three players on this year's All-Rookie Team, the League announced today.

Philadelphia placed OL PHIL BOGLE, OL MARTIN BIBLA and DL BRYAN SAVE on the squad while Arizona, Orlando, and San Jose each placed two players on the team.

Kansas City Brigade WR CHARLES FREDERICK led all rookies in receptions (115), yards from scrimmage (1,518), first downs (100), all-purpose yards (2,129), rushing attempts (50), rushing yards (133), rushing touchdowns (14), and scoring (41 TDs, 246 points). Frederick's 115 receptions stood eight shy of breaking the all-time rookie record of 122, set in 2006 by Kansas City WR JEREL MYERS.

Tampa Bay QB BRETT DIETZ made his AFL debut in Week 9 and has guided the Storm to an 8-1 record, throwing for 2,395 yards and 47 touchdowns in the process.
