Jackals Move To New Jersey

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals unveiled a new team logo Tuesday night at a press conference at First Arena, marking the first time the Jackals have significantly altered their logo in franchise history.
During the same press conference where Elmira fans were introduced to their new Head Coach Steve Martinson, the Jackals presented a new official team logo, along with brand new Home & Road jersey designs to be worn for the 2007-2008 season.
"We want to create a new era of Elmira Jackals success as we enter the ECHL," said Jackals President Tamer Afr. "We are continuing to raise the bar following our investment in the ECHL and to do that we have to completely revamp how we do things. With a new league, a new coach, a new team and a new look we are creating a fresh and exciting Jackals team and organization that will continue to make our fans proud."
The Jackals new logo and Jersey designs are available for viewing at the Jackals website: www.jackalshockey.com. Use of the Elmira Jackals logos and jersey designs is prohibited without the written permission of the Elmira Jackals professional hockey club.
After completing the 2006-07 season the Jackals are currently under going preparations for the 2007-2008 season, their inaugural campaign in the ECHL and their 8th season of operations beginning on October 19, 2007 at First Arena against the Wheeling Nailers.
