The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they will be auctioning off the team's game worn jerseys from the 2006-07 season on Tuesday, June 26th at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. In addition, the Gladiators annual used equipment sale will also take place during the event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds from the Gladiators fourth annual post season jersey auction will benefit the Gladiators Foundation for Kids. The auction will begin at 8:15 p.m. in the main lobby of the Arena.

"The Gladiators Foundation for Kids" was established by the by the Gwinnett Gladiators to help support the many Non-Profit Agencies and Organizations who work with Children in Gwinnett and surrounding communities. The Gladiators for Kids Fund is managed by the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, a highly respected 501-C-3 charitable organization based in Duluth, GA.

The Gladiators annual used equipment sale will also be taking place in the main lobby of the arena. Items available vary but in years past the sale has included skates, helmets, sticks, and socks as well as other hockey odds and ends.

Prior to the auction, fans will have the opportunity to tour the Arena at Gwinnett Center and choose the best available seats for the upcoming season and purchase a ticket package. In addition, this will be Full Season ticket holders first opportunity to have their photo taken for their own personalized team photo. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase Gladiators merchandise which will be on sale in the main lobby at the team store. Also, bring the kids and get them signed up for Maximus' Kids Club at the event.

Fans are encouraged to bring their camera as they will also have the opportunity to get their picture taken with the hardware won by the Gladiators this past season including the Brad Schell's MVP and League Scoring Leaders trophy, Jon Awe's defenseman of the year trophy and Colton Fretter's Rookie of the Year trophy.

The Gwinnett Gladiators open their fifth season as a proud member of the ECHL in October of 2007 - season tickets are on sale now. In addition, the Gladiators offer several unique multi-game ticket packages as well as discounted group rates, suite rentals, and birthday parties. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the spectacular 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, where parking is always free.
