Stockton Ports News Release
STOCKTON, Calif- The Stockton Ports are currently on pace to secure a wild card berth in the 2006 California League playoffs. If indeed they clinch, it would be their fifth consecutive playoff appearance. Tickets for potential playoff games at Banner Island Ballpark will go on sale this Tuesday, August 15 beginning at 9 a.m.
With their first-half title, the San Jose Giants are set to be the number one seed, which allows them a first-round bye. It is still unknown weather the Ports will enter as the number two or number three seed. If the Ports lock up the number two seed, they will host at least one playoff game in the first round, with the chance two host two in a best-of-three series. If the Ports are the number three seed, they will host Game 1 of the best-of-three first round series at Banner Island Ballpark.
As it stands now, the Ports still have the possibility of hosting six total playoff games at Banner Island Ballpark. Ports Playoff Pack's that are put on sale this Tuesday will include all six possible games. Single game playoff tickets are also available, and start at $15 for seats in the Scout Section behind home plate. Club Seats are $14, MVP Seats are $11 and Field Box are $8 per game. Season seat holders, as well as Kids Club and Silver Slugger members will be able to purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
Should fans purchase tickets for a playoff game that does not take place, the balance will be rolled into Ports tickets for 2007.
