Chivas USA obtains conditional 2007 SuperDraft pick from Columbus

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, April 28, 2006) - Chivas USA announced today that it obtained a conditional 2007 SuperDraft pick from the Columbus Crew in exchange for defender Ezra Hendrickson.

"We wish EZ the best in his career. He has been a true leader to our young players and a great asset to our club, in addition to being a wonderful human being. We thank him for his contribution and wish him well," said Whit Haskel, Chivas USA's Senior Vice President and General Manager.

During the 2005 MLS season, Hendrickson played in 31 games (all starts) for Chivas USA, logging a total of 2,745 minutes, leading Chivas USA in that category, and recording three goals and one assist. In 2006, the native of Layou, Saint Vincent appeared in one Reserve Division game with Chivas USA, going the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake and scoring one goal.

Chivas USA, Major League Soccer's Mexican-owned, Los Angeles-based franchise, plays its fourth game of the 2006 MLS season on April 29, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. PT versus the New York Red Bulls at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
