Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons have teamed up with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to provide fans with the opportunity to watch each Herd home game on the official web site of the Buffalo Bisons, www.Bisons.com. Fans also have the opportunity to watch 20 of Buffalo's road games during the 2006 season.
The Bisons road games that will be available are May 23-26 at Toledo, June 13-16 at Durham, July 13-16 at Indianapolis, and May 3-5, July 4-5 and August 25-27 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our fans to get even closer to the team we all love," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons. "This feature, combined with the pitch-by-pitch updates, will give fans the ability to follow the Bisons closer than ever before."
There are two packages available for fans to purchase through the Bisons website. For just $9.95, fans can purchase Bisons.tv and watch all 60 remaining Buffalo Bisons home games during the 2006 season. For $19.95, fans will get access to MiLB.tv and able to view all the home games for Buffalo and International League foes Durham, Indianapolis, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Toledo as well as Pacific Coast League teams Iowa, Memphis, and Sacramento. That will include 20 of the Bisons roads games during the year.
All broadcasts will be included with audio from WECK AM 1230, the flagship station of the Bisons radio network with play-by-play from "The Voice of the Bisons," Jim Rosenhaus. Fans interested in purchasing either package can do so by going to www.Bisons.com and clicking on the link for "multimedia." Fans who purchase a package before May 1 will receive 10% discount to the MiLB online shop, which includes the latest in Buffalo Bisons clothing and merchandise.
In January of 2005, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM) and the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues (NAPBL), better know as Minor League Baseball, announced a major partnership agreement making MLBAM the exclusive provider of Internet related services and other interactive media services for the Minor Leagues. The 10-year online agreement, which began with last season, makes MLBAM exclusively responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the official Minor League site, the websites for each of the NAPBL leagues and the websites for the NAPBL teams that elect to participate in the new website network. Currently BAM hosts and maintains the sites for 38 Minor League teams and Leagues. In addition, MLBAM has been selected as the official statistician for Minor League Baseball.
