The Ottawa Lynx return home tomorrow, Saturday, April 22nd to start a 10-game, 11-day homestand which features two games against the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins), four games against the Charlotte Knights (Triple-A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) and four games against the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox).First pitch of Saturday's game against Rochester is scheduled for 6:05 pm, which will be followed by a 1:05 pm start on Sunday afternoon.
Entering tonight's game in Indianapolis, the Lynx currently sport a record of 8-7. The Lynx have won two straight games.

ADDED VAL-UE: Top prospect Val Majewski hit his second homer of the year yesterday in the Lynx 5-1 victory. Majewski, who returned to the club after a one day stint with the Baltimore Orioles, has five hits this season, each of them of the extra base variety. Majewski has three doubles and two homers.
HITTING STREAKS: Ed Rogers singled in four at-bats yesterday and has now hit safely in five straight games (6-for-16, .375) ... over that stretch Rogers has increased his batting average 71 points, from .185 to .256 ... SS Brandon Fahey singled in the first inning yesterday to extend his hit streak to six games ... The Lynx longest streak of the season is seven games, accomplished by Andy Tracy.
SIDEARM SPECIAL: Lynx RHP Andy Mitchell continues his excellent start to the season. In Thurdays' game Mitchell threw a scoreless 9th inning. The appearance was his 7th of the year (tied for the team lead with Julio Manon). This scoreless inning extended his scoreless streak to 10.1 innings. RHP Chris Piersoll has also yet to give up a run in 7.1 innings this season. As a whole, the Lynx bullpen has combined to go 6-1 with a 1.97 ERA and six saves this year.
THIS AND THAT: After hitting seven homers in their first 13 games, the Lynx have hit three homers in their last two games. Andy Tracy, Fernando Tatis and Val Majewski are tied for the team lead in with two round trippers each. The Lynx pitching staff has given up only seven runs in their last five games (45 defensive innings) and are third in the IL in ERA at 2.57. The Lynx have been terrific defensively of late. After a stretch where the Lynx made eight errors over three games, Ottawa has made only one error in their last seven games ... Lynx Closer Julio Manon's six saves lead the IL ... OF Esix Snead's four stolen bases are tied for 4th in the IL ... 1B Andy Tracy did not participate in yesterday's game , his first off-day of the season ... only 1B/DH Alejandro Freire has played all of the Lynx games this season.
VISITING WITH ROCHESTER: The Rochester lineup features one major prospect. OF Jason Kubel, who missed all of the 2005 season due to injury, has returned and will come to Ottawa as a member of the Red Wings. Kubel, 23, won the International League batting title as a rookie in 2004 while being named IL Rookie-of-the-year.
