Matrix Derails Express, 144-102

Montreal, Canada. The ABA Montreal Matrix defeated the Newark Express 144-102 at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre. Matrix guard Bobby Miller set the tone for the game scoring 24 first-half points, sending the Matrix to the locker room up by 25 at the half. The second half also belonged to the Matrix. Matrix guard All-Star Manix Auriantal, who had 6 first half buckets, finished the game with 34 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Shawn Brown was the leading scorer, chipping in 35 pints of his own to go with 12 rebounds.

The Matrix's record now stands at 12 wins, 12 losses. With the ABA All-Star activities scheduled Feb 10-12 in Florida, the Matrix will play their next game on Feb 17 at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre at 2pm.
