
Helton on rehab assignment to Sky Sox

Colorado Springs, CO - Colorado Rockies' first baseman Todd Helton is scheduled to join the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on a Major League rehab assignment to play on Monday, August 8th as the Sky Sox take on the St. Louis Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m. at Security Service Field. He is schedule to be with the Sky Sox through Wednesday, August 10th, subject to change based on his rehabilitation progress.
"What a great opportunity for our Sky Sox fans to see one of the best players in all of baseball return to play in Colorado Springs," said Sky Sox General Manager Tony Ensor.
Helton played in 120 games and hit 18 home runs with the Sky Sox in 1996 and 1997. He has 11 home runs and 43 RBI with a .296 average in 96 games with the Rockies this year.
