Hill moves up to Iowa

Jackson, TN- LHP Rich Hill has been promoted to Triple-A Iowa. The twenty-five year old pitcher made ten starts with the Diamond Jaxx, compiling a 4-3 record with a 3.28 ERA. Hill is currently leading the Southern League in strikeouts with 90 in 57 2/3 innings of work. Hill will make his first start for the Iowa Cubs on Wednesday, June 1st in Iowa against the Oklahoma Red Hawks.

To keep the roster at the Southern League maximum of twenty-three, IF Richard Lewis has been promoted from High-A Daytona. Lewis started the season in Triple-A Iowa. He appeared in forty games with the Iowa Cubs, compiling a .188 average with no homers and nine RBI's. Lewis, who was named the Southern League MVP last season, was sent down to High-A Daytona and played in three games with the Daytona Cubs. He hit .182 with no homers and no RBI's.
