Alexandre Picard Mooseheads\' Player of the Month for October

Halifax Mooseheads' defenceman Alexandre Picard has been named the Mooseheads' Player of the Month for October.
Picard played in all 12 Mooseheads' games during the month, recording one goal, five assists while achieving a plus four rating. His goal Oct. 20 with 31 seconds remaining in the game against Cape Breton Screaming Eagles forced overtime in a 3-2 Mooseheads Victory.
Picard was named Oct. 22 to the QMJHL All-Star team which will compete in the 2004 ADFT Canada-Russia Challenge, which will play games against a Russian Select team at Colisee Quebec Nov. 22 and at the Bell Centre in Montreal Nov. 23.
Picard received his award from Head Coach Shawn MacKenzie at the team's monthly player of the month luncheon, held at the Brightwood Golf and Country Club today.
