Nashville, TN - Destin Hood drilled a two out tenth inning solo home run to right field to lift the New Orleans Zephyrs to a 4-3 extra inning win in Nashville. The Zephyrs have won three consecutive and improve their record to 9-10 on the season.

The Z's took advantage of two first inning miscues from the Sounds to score an unearned run. Nashville answered with two runs in the fourth inning. The Sounds scratched out three consecutive hits off of New Orleans starter Kendry Flores to score a pair of runs.

Nashville added a run in the fifth with a two out single and an RBI triple for Chad Pinder.

The Zephyrs bullpen delivered working the final five innings without allowing a run. The Z's scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to tie the game. Robert Andino doubled, Austin Nola RBI single and an Elliot Soto RBi single tied the game.

Hood's home run with two outs in the tenth gave the Zephyrs the lead. Eric Jokisch pitched the final three innings for the win. In the tenth the Sounds had back to back hits and had runners at first and third with one out when Jokisch punched out Renato Nunez with a strike out. Former Zephyr Jake Smolinski flied out to right and the Zephyrs have won the first three games of the series.
