Zavier Warren Wins Midwest League Player of the Week

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Zavier Warren had an incredible six-game run for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in last week's series at Quad Cities to win the Midwest League Player of the Week Award. He is the fourth Wisconsin player to win a weekly award this season.

Warren, MLB Pipeline's #18 prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers organization, started the series with the River Bandits on August 2 with a double, two triples, and three RBI. The switch-hitter followed on Wednesday with four hits, including a home run from both sides of the plate, and five RBI. Warren went 12-for-25 and finished the series with ten extra-base hits and four walks for an OPS of 1.752. He scored eight runs and drove in ten during the series.

The Brewers selected Warren in the third round of the 2020 draft out of Central Michigan.

Brandon Knarr and Justin Jarvis each won Midwest League Pitcher of the Week awards earlier this season. Carlos Rodríguez won a Player of the Week Award as a Rattler earlier this season, too.

Warren and the Rattlers start a six-game homestand on Tuesday night. Wisconsin hosts the Western Division-leading South Bend Cubs from August 9 through August 14. Tickets are available for all games in the series but are going fast.
