
Young Moves to WHA

CELEBRATION, Fla. â The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced that Peter Young has accepted the Director of Hockey Operations position with the World Hockey Association (WHA).
"Peter was instrumental in the start up and organization of the WHA2. He was presented with the opportunity to work with the WHA as they plan their launch in 2004 - 2005." WHA2 Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Governors David Waronker said. "The WHA2 believes in all of our staff and we are happy for Peter as he moves on to the WHA."
The WHA2 season opens tomorrow as the Macon Trax take on the Lakeland Loggerheads in Lakeland at 7:05pm.
The WHA2 will ice six teams for the 2003 â 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals. Each team will play a 60 game schedule beginning on November 6th. Every game will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
