Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs would like to invite all of our fans and supporters to join us this Saturday on the Louisiana Boardwalk for the first-ever Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair! Hockey season is just around the corner, so come out to the Boardwalk under the Texas Street Bridge from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and get geared up for the 14th season of Mudbugs hockey in the Ark-La-Tex.
The Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair will feature appearances by Mudbugs players and staff members, interactive hockey activities and other family entertainment provided by Party Central Family Fun Center. We'll also have giveaway items to pass out to the crowd and prizes for winners of various Mudbugs-related contests.
You'll be able to get autographs from star forward Travis Clayton and former Mudbugs players. Head Coach Scott Muscutt, General Manager Jason "Soupy" Campbell and owners Tommy & Leslie Scott will be on hand to visit with fans and help spread the excitement about the upcoming season.
The event will feature multiple activity stations which will allow you to test your hockey skills! Adults and kids alike can try out hockey challenges like accuracy shooting, clock-your-shot and stickhandling drills. You'll be able to handle real pro hockey equipment and find out how the players train for the season!
The Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair will also be your chance to win a spectacular Mudbugs prize pack through our "Keeping Up with Clawed" contest. If you've kept up with Clawed on Facebook and through our "Bugs of Summer" videos on YouTube, you'll have the chance to be quizzed on his travels. The contest winner will be
first to own a new autographed Mudbugs third jersey, enjoy a private locker room tour and have the opportunity to watch a practice from the bench!
All these fun events are set for Saturday's first-ever Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair, so don't miss out on the excitement as we prepare for another thrilling season of Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs hockey!
The Mudbugs' 2010-11 season is just over a month away, with opening night set for Friday, October 15 at the CenturyTel Center.
