York United FC Unveils Primary Kit for the 2022 Season

Toronto, ON - York United FC is proud to reveal its Primary kit for the 2022 Canadian Premier League season.

Staying true to the club's standout colour palette of York Green, Lake Ontario Blue and Victory Gold, the shirt - impeccably produced by the official league technical provider, Macron - takes its inspiration from the roads and rivers leading from the northern forests of York to the litany of imposing and legendary buildings that illuminate Toronto's iconic skyline. The details are encompassed by a bold striped pattern and also includes Greenpark Group - the club's new Principal Partner - as the Front of Jersey sponsor.

The shirt will make its debut on April 7th, when The Nine Stripes take on HFX Wanderers at York Lions Stadium: the opening fixture of the new CPL campaign.

Additionally, the kit is made from Macron Eco Fabrics - a thread which is 100% PET recycled polyester and certified by Global Recycle Standard. For each produced shirt, 13 half-litre bottles are recycled.

Another new jersey feature this season is the names and numbers on the back.

Inspired by the iconic moment in 1985 when a winning goal solidified Canada's route to their one - and currently only - FIFA World Cup qualification, the collegiate-style design that once adorned a litany of Canadian soccer heroes from decades ago will now be worn by a new generation of exciting talent.

The jersey is available online right now for $119.99 CAD (Adult) and $79.99 CAD (Youth). Fans will be able to customize with names and numbers for an additional $34.99 CAD.

On Wednesday, 30th March, York United FC will officially unveil its alternate jersey at a special 2022 Kick-Off event with players, coaches and supporters all in attendance at Springhill Suites in Vaughan, Ontario, the club's partner hotel.
