York Revolution Issue Opening Day Good Weather Guarantee

(York, Pa.): We know, we know; it's been unseasonably cold and "baseball weather" hasn't really broken through yet in Pennsylvania. However, spring's late arrival hasn't dampened the York Revolution's excitement for Opening Day, nor the Revs' willingness to gamble on the weather.
The team is guaranteeing a game-time temperature of 65 degrees or warmer with no rain showers between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. The Revolution will take the field against the Bridgeport Bluefish at 6:30 p.m. to begin the 2013 season that evening.
Should this guarantee not hold up, every fan in attendance may exchange their Opening Day ticket stub for a FREE ticket of equal or lesser value to any home game in April or May on Monday through Thursday, a total of 13 possible games. All ticket exchanges are based on availability, and would have to be made in person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office at Sovereign Bank Stadium.
"We're as tired of the unseasonable weather as anyone," said Revolution President & General Manager Eric Menzer. "So instead of letting the jet stream and the rotation of the Earth decide the weather, we've decided to take control. It's the power of positive thinking...if we guarantee good weather for Opening Day we believe it will happen. If not, then we owe our fans another ticket. It's that simple."
The ultimate temperature determination will be made by the Klepper's Time & Temperature Clock in left-center field at the stadium. At the time of the first pitch, it must be 65 degrees...or else. From there, we must make it through the end of the ninth inning with no rain. Anything to the contrary means the free ticket offer is valid.
Full-season, partial-season and individual tickets including Opening Day are on sale now at YorkRevolution.com, (717) 801-HITS, and in-person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office. The ticket office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. On game days, the ticket office is open 10 a.m. until the end of the fifth inning.
