Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz will seek revenge on the Lubbock Renegades Saturday, June 28th, at Ford Center. The Dawgz and Renegades met earlier this season with a Lubbock 63-43 victory.
Yard Dawgz Head Coach Sparky McEwen continues to make changes to the roster and the addition of center Mondre Dickerson has nearly eliminated the center/quarterback exchange problems that plagued the team the first 10 games of the season.
Oklahoma City has improved dramatically since they travelled to Lubbock in week 3, but the Dawgz are still struggling offensively and average only 198.6 offensive yards/game. Yard Dawgz WR Al Hunt currently has 986 career points and needs only 3 scores to become the third person in af2 history to reach the coveted 1,000 point mark. Oklahoma City's leading rusher, FB Freddie Rollins, has set a new single season franchise record for rushing yards (107) and is currently tied for the most rushing TDs in a single season (7) by a Yard Dawg.
Lubbock holds first place in total offense, averaging 290.9 yards/game, and their defense, led by Virgil Gray, is 16th in the league. The Renegades are tied with Arkansas for second place in the Central Division.
