Yard Dawgz Take on Undefeated Shock on Friday

The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (7-5) take on the undefeated Spokane Shock (11-0) on Friday, June 26th, in Spokane, Washington. Kickoff is set for 10:05 pm CST.

The Yard Dawgz cruised to their third straight win with a victory over the Corpus Christi Sharks, 93-41 last Saturday night. The Yard Dawgz surpassed the af2 record of most points scored in the first half with 59, and their franchise record of most points scored in a game with 93. Their 52 point victory is also a franchise best.

Friday will be the first meeting between the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and the Spokane Shock. The Yard Dawgz #5 ranked scoring offense (61 ppg) will face their toughest test this season against the #1 ranked Spokane Shock scoring defense (35.5 points allowed per game). Both teams are led by the two top rated quarterbacks, Nick Davila (SPO) and Robert Kent (OKC) both rank #1 and #2 respectively in passing efficiency and completion percentage.

"We're excited about playing the best that the af2 has to offer thus far in the season," said Head Coach Sparky McEwen. "It will be a challenge in every phase of the game to match up offensively, defensively, and special teams."
