Yard Dawgz sign former Oklahoma Wrangler

Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz announced today that they have been assigned former Oklahoma Wrangler Carlos Johnson. Johnson (5-11, 190, Lane) played for the Oklahoma Wranglers of the AFL in 2000 and 2001. The Yard Dawgz have also been assigned wide receiver/defensive back Jeromy Flowers (6-0, 200, Arkansas), and lineman Walter Taylor (6-1, 285, Northwest Oklahoma)
Johnson played in 14 games during the 2000 season for the Wranglers. He caught 122 passes for 1412 yards and 23 touchdowns, all of which were team highs. In 2001, he only played in four games before being traded to Chicago, then on to Toronto. In his four games with the Wranglers, he compiled four receptions for 34 yards and added five tackles on the defensive side.
Flowers is no stranger to football in Oklahoma as he has played in arenafootball2 for the Tulsa Talons during the 2001 season. Flowers was named to the All-af2 second team at defensive specialist following the 2001 season.
Taylor, an Oklahoma City product, has just finished his college career at Northwest Oklahoma State. Taylor finished the 2004 season with 54 tackles (27 solo), 16.5 tackles for a loss, and 2.5 sacks.
To make room for the above mentioned players, the Yard Dawgz placed on re-assignment, fullback/linebacker Chris Toney and wide receiver/linebacker Shawn Terry.
