Yard Dawgz receive award for second consecutive week

OKLAHOMA CITY- He caught what Head Coach Jeff Jarnigan said was one of the best catches he has ever seen. Not only did Yard Dawgz ' wide receiver/linebacker, Chavis McCollister receive 4 balls for 27 yards and a touchdown, in Oklahoma City's 56-44 win over Arkansas; McCollister's outstanding play on both sides of the ball garnered him the af2 U.S. Army Ironman of the week.

McCollister finished his impressive showing against the Twisters with two iterceptions, including one he returned for a score. He recorded one fumble recovery and one tackle.

This is the first league award of McCollister's two-year career and the second af2 honor for the Yard Dawgz franchise this season. Last week quarterback Craig Strickland was named the af2 Schutt Offensive Player of the week after leading Oklahoma City to an impressive win over Tulsa.
