Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
The arenafootball2 league office announced yesterday that the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz moved into the number 2 spot in the weekly coaches' poll. After an impressive road win at Green Bay last Friday, the Yard Dawgz received 5 first place votes to improve from last week's fourth place ranking. Rounding out the top five: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers at number one, No. 3-Memphis Xplorers, No. 4- Spokane Shock, No. 5- Florida Firecats.
With a perfect 3-0 start the Yard Dawgz look to take on Amarillo on Saturday, April 29th at the Ford Center.
Oklahoma City may have settled the score when they traveled to Amarillo to take on the Dusters earlier this month, winning 61-44. But the last time the Dusters were in Oklahoma City, they knocked the Yard Dawgz out of the first round of the playoffs.
Head Coach Jeff Jarnigan says, "It's tough playing the same team within a 3-week period. It's going to be a tough game. Amarillo's a good football team."
Kick-off is set for 7:05 PM at the Ford Center.
