Estero, FL- Firecats Florida OS MAGIC BENTON has 4,823 and is just 7 yards away from becoming the af2's all-time leading receiver, a record currently held by James Scott (4,829).

Already this season Benton has hauled in 28 passes for 395 yards and 11 touchdowns. He now has 107 career receiving touchdowns in the regular season, good enough to move him up to #3 all-time just 4 away from tying Mitch Allner's league record of 113.

For his career Magic has scored 660 points ranking him 4th all-time.

And that's not it. The Former Miami Hurricane has 384 career catches, recently passing former Firecats teammate Cainon Lamb for #2 and he's just 17 receptions away from Corey Hill's all-time top mark of 401.

In addition to climbing up the leagues all-time records, he leads the league in a number of different categories #1 in scoring averaging 23.3 points a game, #1 in TD Receptions with 11, #1 in yards receiving per game with 131.7, he's tied for 2nd averaging 9.3 catches a game, 3rd in total receptions this season (28) and 3rd in yards receiving with 395.

After picking up their 1st win at home the Florida Firecats head back out on the road to play the Bossier City Battle Wings, with a chance to avenge one of only two regular season losses last year. Kickoff is scheduled for 8pm this Saturday April 29th.
